Jeremy Thorp now owns the business after twenty five years working under previous owner Tony Yamashita, who bought the shop in 1980 and remains semi retired nearby. The current crew blends deep experience with fresh apprenticeship energy. Head mechanic Ron Rillarta brings two decades of service and licensed inspection credentials alongside his Ironman training, while Rob Fitzgerald manages tires and rims after arriving from a large chain four years ago. Second year apprentice Joseph Hemerick lives locally, and Dylan Thorp handles management while coaching North Shore Twins baseball on weekends. They handle brakes, suspension checks, transmission fluid, and timing belts, always logging oil changes in warranty booklets to keep manufacturer coverage intact. Winter tire guidance is tailored specifically for North Shore conditions, and they will tell you plainly which strange noises require immediate attention versus which can safely wait. Regulars from Dollarton, Parkgate, and Seymour know this team prioritizes routine maintenance over emergency repairs, making it easier to trust your vehicle on those steep, wet mountain drives.
