After a morning paddle around Indian Arm or a snow day on Mount Seymour, stopping at 4373 Gallant Avenue feels like the natural next step in Deep Cove. Honey Doughnuts & Goodies has served this seaside village since 1996, keeping its doors open from sunrise through every long weekend and only closing for Christmas and Boxing Day. The original cases still turn out honey-glazed rings alongside cinnamon buns, muffins, fruit and savoury scones, croissants, cookies, and a separate tray of gluten-free pastries. Tables fill the front room and a quieter corner near the back, creating a familiar gathering spot where wet gear and hiking boots are always welcome.
The kitchen covers breakfast with eggs, toast, bacon, hash browns, sandwiches, tacos, omelettes, eggs Benedict, waffles, French toast, bagels, yogurt, granola, oatmeal, and fresh fruit bowls before shifting to lunch service. That midday menu features assorted sandwiches, grilled cheese, avocado and tuna melts, daily specials, rotating homemade vegan soups, fish or chicken tacos, salads, and soup pairings for the post-adventure crowd. The espresso bar pulls drip coffee, cappuccinos, lattes, Americanos, mochas, hot chocolate, chai, London fogs, teas, and juices. You can call ahead at 604-929-4988 for pickup, though arriving early is wise since the doughnut case often empties by afternoon and the line out the door is simply part of the local ritual.
