Honey Doughnuts & Goodies

The 4373 Gallant Avenue storefront sits in the heart of Deep Cove, the small seaside village at the foot of Mount Seymour where the mountains drop straight into Indian Arm. Honey Doughnuts and Goodies has been welcoming hikers, kayakers, and local families to that stretch of North Vancouver since 1996, with the original doughnut cases still turning out honey-glazed rings alongside cinnamon buns, muffins, fruit and savoury scones, croissants, cookies, and a separate tray of gluten-free pastries. The shop opens at sunrise most mornings and only closes for Christmas and Boxing Day, otherwise keeping regular hours through every long weekend and the busy summer paddling season.

The espresso bar pulls standard drinks: drip coffee, iced coffee, cappuccino, latte, espresso, Americano, macchiato, con panna, mocha, hot chocolate, chai latte, London fog, plus a tea selection and juices for the kids. Tables fill the front room and a quieter corner near the back, and the phone line at 604-929-4988 stays open for the rare call ahead pickup. After a morning paddle around the Arm or a snow day on Seymour, the line out the door is part of the ritual, and the doughnut case is usually picked clean by early afternoon, so the early bird really does get the honey glaze.
