Pacific Vision MD
About Pacific Vision MD
Pacific Vision MD is a specialist ophthalmology practice in Capilano focusing on cataract surgery, glaucoma management, and complex eye conditions for North Vancouver patients.
When your family optometrist in Lynn Valley or Central Lonsdale suggests a specialist consult, staying on this side of the harbour makes a real difference. Pacific Vision MD serves as a dedicated ophthalmology practice in Capilano for patients requiring medical and surgical eye care beyond routine exams. Dr. Mohaseb leads the clinic with credentials that include fellowship training at UBC and Stanford University, alongside his current role as Head of the Division of Ophthalmology at Lions Gate Hospital. This local presence means North Shore residents facing cataract or glaucoma referrals can access sub-specialist expertise without downtown traffic or arranging transit to Surrey.
This is strictly a medical and surgical office rather than a general optometry clinic, handling everything from pre-operative assessments and intraocular lens selection to post-operative follow-up. The practice coordinates directly with referring doctors across the region, including those in Pemberton, so care stays continuous while surgical bookings stay at Lions Gate whenever possible. For older residents especially, avoiding bridge crossings for appointments reduces stress significantly during an already complex health journey. Having this level of specialized ophthalmology available locally has reshaped how our community accesses surgical eye care over the past decade, reducing wait times and keeping treatment close to home when managing complex conditions like glaucoma or preparing for cataract surgery.
